Supporters of the US President Donald Trump gathered in large numbers in Beverly Hills on Saturday, as they refused to accept the announced victory of Democratic nominee Joe Biden in the presidential election.

Protesters were seen holding US and Trump flags, alongside banners reading 'Not over yet' and 'Stop the steal.'

"God is watching over us and Trump will remain president for four more years. We need it. People who voted for Biden have no idea what they've even voted for," said Lynn, a Trump supporter.

The protest was held as part of a series of rallies taking place under the motto 'Stop the steal,' with Trump fans rejecting Biden's victory on the basis of unsubstantiated claims of electoral fraud.
