Iranian media reported that a plane carrying 95 of those injured in the Lebanon explosions on Tuesday and Wednesday arrived in the capital on Thursday.

Iranian Health Minister Mohammadreza Zafarghandi announced that eight specialist ophthalmologists and nursing staff had been sent to Lebanon on Wednesday.

The blasts across Lebanon involving pagers on Tuesday and handheld radios on Wednesday killed 37 and injured nearly 3000, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.

The Hezbollah militant group, which confirmed that the pagers belonged to "employees of various Hezbollah units and institutions", attributed the explosions to Israel, while the country has not commented.

On Thursday, Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah said the attacks 'crossed all red lines' and 'could be seen as a declaration of war'. Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging cross-border fire, which escalated following the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023.
