Description

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the completion of a wall at the border with Belarus on Thursday, intended to put a stop to some migrant crossings.

Footage released by the Straz Granicza (Polish Border Guard) press service features the metal construction, 5.5 metres (18 feet) high and 186 kilometres (115 miles) long.

Human rights groups accused the Polish government of 'double standards', after it allowed millions of Ukrainians to cross over at the start of the conflict with Russia. However, work on the border wall began earlier, due to the numbers of migrants from the Middle East and Africa attempting to cross.
