Four other candidates are running for the presidency, including the incumbent President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, former deputy Anna Kanopatskaya, leader of the “Tell the Truth” civil campaign Andrei Dmitriev and head of the Belarusian Social Democratic Assembly (Hramada) party Sergei Cherachen.

Early presidential elections took place in Belarus from August 4 to August 8, with a 41,70 percent turnout, according to the Central electoral commission.
