Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the Elysee Palace in Paris on Monday for the “Normandy Four” high-level meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The Russian leader can be seen walking through the palace courtyard and being greeted by French President Emmanuel Macron, before entering the building.
Normandy Four was created in July 2014 to secure a peaceful settlement to the conflict in eastern Ukraine. The leaders of Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany first discussed the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine during the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy. Since then, many telephone conversations and summits have taken place between the leaders of the four countries, and foreign ministers have also had contacts.
