Description

Photos of the current state of the Ukrainian passenger jet crash site emerged on Friday.

The images were taken in the morning at Laleh park, close to Tehran, where the plane went down on Wednesday.

Debris and body parts still litter the site.

Investigators and emergency services appear to have left the site, which is reportedly no longer cordoned off. Scavengers were also spotted at the scene.

A diplomatic spat over the causes of the crash is now underway.

Western leaders said an Iranian missile caused the downing of the Boeing 737-800, possibly in error. Iran denied that a missile strike from its air defence systems was responsible.

A total of 176 people died when Ukrainian International Airlines flight PS752 crashed shortly after taking off from Tehran's Imam Khomeini airport en route to Kiev.
