Description

Belarusian Olympic sprinter Krystsina Tsimanouskaya said she was worried about her parents' safety in Belarus during a press conference in Warsaw on Thursday after arrival to Poland on a humanitarian visa.

Last Sunday, Tsimanouskaya refused to board a flight back to Minsk, saying she was taken to the airport by Belarusian team managers against her will.

The athlete claimed she was forced to fly home early for publicly criticising her coaches. She took to social media to complain about being picked to take part in a 400m relay event on a short notice - a discipline she had not prepared to compete in.

Tsimanouskaya was later granted a humanitarian visa by the Polish Embassy in Tokyo.
