"I think it'd be fair to say Donald, that you and I spent most of our conversations in completely glutinous agreement on most of the issues that have been raised," said Johnson.
The UK Prime Minister, who met with Tusk for the first face-to-face talks since he took office added that the UK and EU's relationship 'would persist beyond 31 October, whatever happens.'
The UK, which is due to leave the European Union on 31 October, had Johnson touring France and Germany before the G7 summit in order to convince their leaders of scrapping the Irish backstop clause from the deal achieved with former Prime Minister Theresa May to avoid a no-deal scenario.
