Description

French citizens expressed divergent opinions in Paris on Saturday, as they prepared to cast their vote in the European parliamentary elections.

French citizen Abdoulaye expressed his support for the “future of Europe” and said that “it is necessary to go and vote.”

Others like Christophe are a little more sceptical. He said he will abstain from voting, as “Europe is already chosen.” He added that the fact that there are apparently so many electoral lists - 34 - is destined to “divide the people.”

Brits are not the only ones who want to leave Europe, as ‘Frexit’ posters can be found on the streets of Paris. Christiane, a supporter of ‘Frexit’, said that it is important to “recover our currency, our sovereignty, our freedom.”

French citizens will vote on Sunday to elect the 74 MEPs who will represent them at the European Parliament.
