Residents and visitors from different parts of the world gathered at the Gulmarg resort in Indian Kashmir to celebrate Christmas and the New Year.

"It feels magical, and being surrounded by the snow here in Kashmir, in Gulmarg, it makes it feel even more Christmassy," a visitor shared.

The footage shows tourists skiing on the resort's snowy slopes and visiting the local St Mary's Church, which was built in the early 20th century.

"Christmas in a ski resort is like a dream come true, it's a Christmas feeling when you are around the snow in a ski resort, so we are, it’s a dream come true," a visitor commented.

"I haven't had that experience before, so it's a great experience and especially Christmas it's like a jolly good, like a jolly good experience, and I am very happy to share it with the new people I have met," another visitor said.
