US President Donald Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke to the press about topics including Iran and the next G7 meeting. They made the comments at a bilateral meeting held on the final day of the G7 summit in Biarritz on Monday.

Commenting on the Iranian nuclear issue, Merkel said; "all of the G7 members have said that we want to prevent any kind of nuclear weapons for Iran."

"We want to achieve that through negotiations," she stressed, adding that "there is still a long way to go."

Trump for his part commented on preparations for the next G7, which will be held in the US. Asked whether he expected the event to be held at the Doral Golf Course, he said; "it's seeming to set up the best."

The G7 summit is wrapping up on Monday with world leaders discussing a number of global issues.
