Christian Social Union (CSU) leader and Bavarian Minister-President Markus Soder admitted that the results of the German federal election were "disappointing result for the entire Union," at a press conference in Munich on Monday.
The CSU leader said that the Union's second place in finish left them with "no claim to form a government," saying that they could only make an 'offer.'
Soder went on to speak in favour of a so-called Jamaica coalition, made up of the Union with the Greens and the Free Democratic Party (FDP), but stressed that it shouldn't be a "government at any price."
