Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was seen joining the Israeli Air Force's headquarters in HaKirya, Tel Aviv on Saturday as the Jewish state launched airstrikes against what they claim are 'Houthi' military targets in Yemen.

Footage shows the prime minister talking with Chief of the General Staff of Israel Herzi Halevi inside the military base.

The Israeli operation targeted oil storage facilities in the coastal city of al Hudaydah.

"IDF fighter jets struck military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the area of the al Hudaydah Port in Yemen in response to the hundreds of attacks carried out against the State of Israel in recent months," the IDF said in a statement on their official Telegram channel.

Sanaa's Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that at least three had been killed and another 87 wounded in the strikes.

Meanwhile, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree denounced the attack, stating that their forces will "not hesitate to strike vital Israeli targets," in response.

This attack comes after Houthi forces launched a drone attack on Tel Aviv on Friday, reportedly killing one and injuring at least 10 others.

Following the attack, Saree declared "the occupied Jaffa region [Tel Aviv] an unsafe area" and added that 'it will be a primary target' for the Yemeni forces.
