US President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a bilateral meeting at the G7 in Biarritz on Sunday, where issues such as the signature of a new trade deal, the possibility of Russia re-joining the G7 and issues regarding North Korea were discussed.
"We have a very big deal. It's a major deal with Japan. If it gets done, we'll possibly know by the end of this meeting," said Trump.
When asked about his position on having Russia potentially re-join the G7, he said that a number of people would like to see Russia back, something that he thinks would be "positive" and "advantageous" to the world.
Trump and Abe are currently participating in the G7 summit which started in Biarritz on Saturday and will run until August 26.
