An explosion in Jalalabad believed to have targeted Taliban forces left several killed and injured on Saturday.

Footage shows the impact point on a roadside in the capital city of Afghanistan's Nangarhar province as militants monitored the situation in the blast aftermath.

While different reports point to different numbers of killed and injured, it is believed that at least two people were killed and six were injured after a roadside mine exploded close to a Taliban convoy.

The attack constitutes the latest in series of attacks seemingly targetting the Taliban in and around Jalalabad.

Taliban forces took control of Afghanistan as the USA withdraw its forces from the country in August.
