Description

Protesters marched through Los Angeles on Wednesday, to demonstrate against police violence in the wake of the shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin.

Protesters were seen impeding traffic and chanting slogans like "Police brutality must be stopped, fire jail those racist cops" "Killer cops, off our streets" and holding signs, reading "End White Supremacy" "Fuck Trump" and "Killer cops, off our streets."

Police officers responded by blocking the roads to the police station where the protesters wanted to end the march.

Abel De La Cruz, rally-organizer from the left wing group BAMN (The Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, Integration & Immigrant Rights, and Fight for Equality By Any Means Necessary) said

"You know we think that it's necessary that cops get consequences for their actions to end by jailing them and making them feel like can't come into our communities anymore to harm and terrorize and kill us. We can really shift power in society and make a movement that can fight really strongly against the police and eventually abolish them."

A wave of protests have taken place in several US cities after Jacob Blake, 29, was shot several times in the back as he entered a car where his three children were seated in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Sunday.
