Description

The Yellow Vests held a mass march from Bastille square to La Fayette street in Paris on Saturday, demanding social, fiscal and climate justice and a referendum on the Citizen Initiative (RIC), ahead of legislative elections.

"No hope that it will be changed by the National Assembly [after the legislative elections], we have already had experiences of the Left Union in the past, it's always the same thing. To my mind, the only solution is a movement of the whole of the working class, of the workers. General strikes, demonstrations. That's what will change things," said Josianne, a protester.

The French legislative elections are set to take place on June 12 and 19.
