German Vice-Chancellor and Minister of Finance Olaf Scholz warned Great Britain about the "very significant consequences" for its economy in case of a no-deal Brexit. He addressed the press on the second day of the Informal Meeting of EU Ministers for Economics and Financial Affairs in Berlin, on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters Scholz said, "My assessment is that a disorderly situation would have very significant consequences for the British economy."

He added, "Europe would be in a position to deal with it and there wouldn't be particularly severe consequences after the preparations we have already made."
