Footage shows participants at the anti-government rally chanting "Down with [President] Maia Sandu!" outside the parliament building, as law enforcement personnel removed tents from the roads and put them on the back of a truck.
Deputy of the opposition Shor Party, Vadim Fotescu, said that it amounted to a violation of the right to assembly.
"All of you have seen that we were not allowed in. I have to say that is the second violation, because when the police came out on Friday and they were at the tent, from the roadway [side], [they] also violated both the regulation of the Emergency Situations Commission and the law on assemblies," he claimed.
There was no official information about detentions on the day of the rally.
The Shor Party estimated that around 60,000 attended, although the police put the figure at 5,000.
Protests in the centre of Chisinau have been ongoing since 18 September, when the tent camp was first set up.
On 26 September, Maia Sandu called on law-enforcement agencies to "promptly identify the sources of illegal financing of those who pay for participation in protests and severely punish any attempts at aggression, provocation or destabilisation".
She also backed extended police powers to disperse the protests.
According to media reports quoting the country's government press office, rallies with road closures or access to public buildings are now banned on weekdays, and on weekends rallies can be held for no longer than four hours.
