Germany's Greens (Die Grunen) party representatives held a 'small congress' in Berlin on Saturday, a week after the federal elections as coalition talks to form the new German government continue.

Delegates could be seen entering the venue, with Green leader Annalena Baerbock, party co-chair Robert Habeck and Head of the parliamentarian fraction of the Greens - Anton Hofreiter - spotted outside. Nearly one hundred delegates attended.

As announced by federal party manager Michael Kellner, the party will ask its 120,000 members to vote on a coalition agreement with the Social Democrats or the Conservatives. On Saturday, the party team which will lead the coalition talks was also approved.

The Greens will reportedly meet with SPD representatives on Sunday, while a meeting with the CDU is scheduled for Tuesday.
