    Security personnel were seen patrolling the streets of Baghdad on Thursday, a day ahead of Pope Francis' visit to Iraq.

    The three-day trip will be the Pope’s first trip abroad in 15 months, as his movements were curtailed due to the pandemic.

    Apart from Baghdad, the pontiff is also expected to visit Najaf, Ur, Erbil, Mosul and Qaraqosh.

    Security personnel were seen patrolling the streets of Baghdad on Thursday, a day ahead of Pope Francis' visit to Iraq.

    The three-day trip will be the Pope’s first trip abroad in 15 months, as his movements were curtailed due to the pandemic.

    Apart from Baghdad, the pontiff is also expected to visit Najaf, Ur, Erbil, Mosul and Qaraqosh.
