Footage captured on Tuesday shows animals and locals walking in the waist-high waters. Meanwhile, others can be seen traveling on the submerged roads using boats.
"We have to survive somehow. We have to remain in this condition until the floodwater goes out of the house," one local said.
"Floodwater has been... for the last 10 days, and we are facing a shortage of food and medicines. We have not been provided with any facilities," another added.
Floodwaters have reportedly swept away hundreds of houses, displaced cattle and destroyed crops across the region. At least 10 people have been killed, according to local media.
Authorities have ordered the closure of more than 600 government-run schools and the postponement of exams at universities in flood-affected districts.
According to the Bihar Disaster Management Department (DMD), eight relief camps are currently providing shelter for displaced citizens. Meanwhile, 329 community kitchens are distributing dry ration packets and polythene sheeting to flood victims.
Additionally, at least 1,400 boats have been reportedly deployed in flood-affected districts, with 20 boat ambulances giving medical assistance to residents.
The floods severely hit 12 districts in India, including Bhagalpur, Patna, Begusarai, Vaishali, Khagaria, Saran, and Munger.
