Hundreds gathered in Beirut on Wednesday to attend the funeral procession of two sibling children killed in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the southern suburbs of the capital.

Footage shows participants marching and chanting anti US and Israeli slogans while they were holding coffins of Hasan and Amira Fadl Allah

"They were close to me. They were beautiful, sensible, polite, and superior. Praise be to God; He picked them to be by his side; this is the greatest blessing,” Hasan Sultan, the children's uncle, stated.

"The scene has become evident that when we completely abandon legal, moral, and humanitarian constraints, the law of the jungle will prevail in which brutality is displayed, represented by attacking civilians and above all children," Lebanese MP Melhem Khalaf added.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the attack resulted in the deaths of five, with 70 others wounded. Most of the injured have since been discharged from hospitals after receiving treatment.

The IDF stated that the airstrike was aimed at Fouad Shukr, known as 'Hajj Mohsen,' described as "the highest-ranking military commander in Hezbollah and an advisor to Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah."

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned the strike as 'blatant Israeli aggression,' calling it a 'criminal act' that violates international law.

Hezbollah released a statement earlier on Wednesday, admitting the death of Fouad Shukur (Haj Mohsen) in the attack. The militia has previously denied involvement in the Majdal Shams incident, accusing Israel of firing an interceptor missile.

Hezbollah has not commented on the attack but previously denied involvement in the Majdal Shams incident, accusing Israel of firing an interceptor missile.

The town of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights was hit by a shell on Saturday, killing twelve people, mostly children. Israel blamed Hezbollah for the attack and vowed retaliation.

Since October 8, Hezbollah and Palestinian factions have engaged in cross-border shelling with Israeli forces, following the start of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

Hezbollah released a statement earlier on Wednesday, stating: "The great jihadist leader, Brother Fouad Shukur (Haj Mohsen), was then in this building. Since the incident, civil defense teams have been working hard but slowly to remove rubble due to the condition of the collapsed, destroyed layers."
