The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) released a video on Saturday of what it said were troops preparing their fighter jets ahead of Tel Aviv's attack on 'Houthi' military targets in Yemen.

Footage shows servicemen loading the aircrafts with missiles in an undisclosed location.

Houthi-affiliated Yemeni media reported that the airstrikes on the coastal city of al Hudaydah targeted oil storage and refining facilities at the city's port, resulting in a massive fire.

"IDF fighter jets struck military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the area of the al Hudaydah Port in Yemen in response to the hundreds of attacks carried out against the State of Israel in recent months," the IDF confirmed in a statement on their official Telegram channel.

Sanaa's Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that at least three had been killed and another 87 wounded in the strikes.

Meanwhile, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree denounced the attack, stating that their forces will "not hesitate to strike vital Israeli targets," in response.

This attack comes after Houthi forces launched a drone attack on Tel Aviv on Friday, reportedly killing one and injuring at least 10 others.

Following the attack, Saree declared "the occupied Jaffa region [Tel Aviv] an unsafe area" and added that 'it will be a primary target' for the Yemeni forces.

The date and location of the footage published by the IDF cannot be independently verified.
