A Black Lives Matter protester's leg was set alight by a Molotov cocktail during a rally near Portland's police precinct on Saturday night.
Footage shows the moment the protester emerges from the flames, with both feet on fire. Other protesters quickly step in to help douse the flames, and instruct him to take off his burning shoes, after they struggle to put the second flaming foot out.
Local media outlets reported that the fire came from a Molotov cocktail launched by other BLM protesters, whilst others say the protester had accidentally set himself alight.
Rallies have continued in the city for more than 100 days.
Demonstrations against police brutality and racism have been taking place in the city and across the US since late May, following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis at the hands of a police officer.
