According to Turkey's Emergency and Disaster Management Authority (AFAD), the new quake killed eight people and injured more than 300 in parts of Turkey devastated two weeks ago by a massive earthquake that killed more than 46,000 people in both countries.
The new earthquake had its epicentre in the town of Defne in Turkey's Hatay province.
