According to Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Kurdish forces have completed their withdrawal from the 30 km (19 mile) 'safe zone' ahead of schedule.
Russian forces are reportedly set to patrol a 10 km (6 miles) area of land on the Turkish-Syrian border alongside Turkish troops.
