Description

A concert commemorating the signing of the treaties on the accession of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to the Russian Federation was held on Red Square on Friday. Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the event, as well as the heads of the four regions.

The footage shows the event with speeches by the heads of the regions and a concert.

People who attended the concert shared their impressions of the event and their attitude towards the signing of treaties on the regions becoming part of the Russian Federation.

"First and foremost, of course, I wish everyone peace, goodness, and health; to be safe and that only peace reigns in our country, and in the world. In fact, borders do not matter. Because people have to live and be happy, that is all," said Tatiana, one of the concert guests.

Earlier, on September 30, President Vladimir Putin agreed to sign documents allowing the accession of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as the regions of Kherson and Zaporozhye, to the Russian Federation.

According to Moscow, the move followed referenda in which people living in those areas exercised their right to self-determination and requested to join Russia.

Ukraine and its international allies condemned the move, calling it an annexation of Kiev’s sovereign territory.
