Several people have reportedly been killed or injured after Israel fired airstrikes on an oil depot in Yemen's al Hudaydah on Saturday evening.
Footage shows locals receiving treatment in the hallways of an overwhelmed hospital in the coastal city.
Houthi-affiliated Yemeni media reported that the airstrikes on al Hudaydah targeted oil storage and refining facilities at the city's port, resulting in a massive fire.
At least three people have reportedly been killed in the strikes and another 87 wounded, 'most of them with severe burns,' according to Sanaa's Ministry of Health
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) claimed responsibility for the attack in an announcement on their official Telegram channel.
"IDF fighter jets struck military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the area of the al Hudaydah Port in Yemen in response to the hundreds of attacks carried out against the State of Israel in recent months," the statement said.
Meanwhile, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree denounced the attack, stating that their forces will "not hesitate to strike vital Israeli targets," in response.
This attack comes after Houthi forces launched a drone strike on Tel Aviv on Friday, reportedly killing one and injuring at least 10 others.
Following the attack, Saree declared "the occupied Jaffa region [Tel Aviv] an unsafe area" and added that 'it will be a primary target' for the Yemeni forces.
