Description

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi stated that a nuclear agreement has not yet been made with Iran, following the IAEA Board of Governors meeting in Vienna on Wednesday.

"Our consultations, our negotiations have been inconclusive. Inconclusive meaning that we could not finish," said Grossi, stressing that the lack of agreement does not mean 'giving up' on a deal.

When asked whether current restrictions would impede on the continuity of knowledge regarding Iran's nuclear facilities, Grossi stated, "We're not far from that."

The talks were held regarding the restarting of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action nuclear deal.

In 2018, former US President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the agreement and in turn began imposing crippling sanctions on Iran.
