Protesters demanding the resignation Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan rallied in Yerevan on Wednesday.
The demonstration began at the crossroads of Bagramyan and Demirchyan streets, where leaders of the opposition movement addressed the crowd. Protesters then marched along Sayat-Nova and Nalbandyan streets to Republic Square and then returned back to Bagramyan street.
On Wednesday, Armenian President Armen Sargsyan's press office announced a meeting on March 13 between the Prime Minister, the leaders of the parliamentary factions and representatives of the Homeland Salvation Movement. The opposition leaders are yet to responded to the invitation.
Anti-Pashinyan protests began in November 2020 after the Armenian Prime Minister signed the Russian-brokered deal to end the fighting between Azerbaijani and Armenian forces over the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Under the terms of the trilateral agreement, a number of Nagorno-Karabakh districts have officially handed control over to Azerbaijan.
