Belgium supporters were optimistic about their side's opener.

On the opposite side, some Russian supporters hope President Vladimir Putin will help push their team to victory.

“I cheered on our team wearing this t-shirt back in 2018, it seems that it helped,” a man wearing a hoodie with Putin’s picture on said.

The Euro 2020 started on Friday, after being postponed a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
