01:52Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus claimed that more than 400 protesters were detained during the "March of Heroes" unauthorised rally in Minsk on Sunday.
The footage shows people being detained by law enforcement agents and thousands of protesters marching in the direction of the residence of President Alexander Lukashenko.
The rally began at 14:00 local time (11:00 GMT). Protesters assembled on Independence street and then headed towards Drozdy district, where the residence of the Belarusian leader and houses of other public officials are situated.
According to the statement of the "A1" mobile operator, in compliance with the order of the state authorities "network capacity was reduced", which led to the mobile Internet disruptions.
Protesters in Belarus are also holding rallies in other cities including Zhodina, Grodno, Brest and Mogilev.
Belarus has been swept by anti-government protests following the disputed presidential election that saw incumbent president Aleksander Lukashenko re-elected for a sixth term. On August 19 the European Union announced sanctions against "a substantial number of individuals responsible for violence, repression, and election fraud" in Belarus.
