Description

Protesters opposing Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan closed Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan, and set up a camp in front of the parliament building, on Thursday.

Footage shows protesters filling the avenue, blocking traffic with garbage containers, and setting up camp.

The demonstrators also stockpiled firewood for the night, as they claim they will remain there until Parliament convenes an extraordinary session on Pashinyan’s impeachment.

During a rally earlier, Vazgen Manukyan, the leader of the "Movement for the Salvation of the Motherland" announced that the entrances to Parliament had been blocked.

"We are blocking this street, we must bring the deputies of the National Assembly to be impeached," said Manukyan.
