US coach Jill Ellis said that "nothing is given" during a presser in Paris on Sunday, ahead of her side's clash against Spain at the Women's World Cup in the Round of 16.

Ellis reacted to her player Ali Krieger's declaration about the US team being the "best team in the world" and said: "I don't think it's a message to anybody else other than we, the players, feel good about this team and about each other." "The team knows that everything is earned," she added.

The US coach also commented on forward Alex Morgan's fitness status, after she was fouled to the floor in Thursday's match against Sweden, saying that "she's fine."

Footage shows Morgan receiving special treatment on the field before the team's training session kicks off, as they prepare to take on Spain on Monday 18:00 CEST (16:00 GMT) at the Auguste-Delaune II stadium in Reims.
