"We've been out sleeping in the streets for days, yesterday we woke up and our mattresses and clothes were all wet. The guys here brought some sandwiches to feed the children, no one cares about us, we've been told that they will find a place for us but nothing came out," Kamnia Ramadan, one of the displaced women said.
On October 30, media reported that clashes broke out between Turkish-backed forces and Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG), as well as Syrian government forces.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that joint Russian-Turkish patrols, as laid out in an agreement between the Turkish and Russian governments in Sochi, will begin in northeastern Syria on Friday, but added that Turkish military operations could start again if Kurdish forces did not fully withdraw from the so-called 30-kilometre (20 miles) safe zone.
