German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said that the Russian broadcaster 'Russia Today' was "not a hybrid threat," at a press conference in Berlin on Wednesday.
Speaking about possible security risks ahead of Germany's September general election, Seehofer said RT was "a normal television broadcaster that treats us unkindly, but every citizen can deal with it," adding that the broadcaster was "propaganda, anyone can see through that."
The minister added that he was "always amazed that the whole interest is focused on any possible influence of Moscow or China or whoever," saying that while external threats should be taken seriously, he was more worried on 'a daily basis' about the situation within Germany.
