“One of the most promising things is that one of the passengers of the helicopter and the flight crew have made contact, and this indicates that it was not a serious accident because two people who were inside the helicopter contacted us for several times," he said.

Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and others were on their way back from meetings at the border with Azerbaijan, including the inauguration of a new dam.

“Three flights were made from the site of the dam (Qiz Qala Si) to go to Tabriz, and almost half an hour after leaving, at around 1:50 PM, the connection between the President's helicopter and two other helicopters was cut off," he explained.

"The weather is very cold and foggy, and there is heavy rainfall area, the area is difficult to access and reach. So the search has been delayed, but the search team is busy, and we hope to have good news," he reported.
