Description

Festive decorations and illumination took over Moscow’s city centre ahead of New Year’s Eve celebrations, as seen on footage filmed on Sunday.

Light arches appeared on Tverskaya Street, while popular pedestrian zones have been decorated with light tunnels and luminous numbers for the coming year. Decorative installations were also placed in the main city parks.

The 'Travel to Christmas' winter festival has also returned to Moscow after being cancelled last year due to Covid-19. From December 10 to January 9, citizens can visit fairs, skating rinks, and festive venues throughout the city. Due to the current epidemiological situation, master classes were not included in the program of the celebrations.
