Description

The rally against price increases continued in front of Chisinau’s parliament building on Thursday, with protesters demanding the resignation of President Maia Sandu and the dissolution of parliament and the government.

The demonstrations in the capital have been ongoing since Sunday.

Footage shows tents set up in the square, as activists held placards and flags and chanted 'Down with Maia Sandu!'.

Thousands turned out for the initial rally on Sunday, while there has been no official information on any detentions during the protests.

Mass anti-government rallies began in the country in May over soaring energy and food prices, as well as falling living standards and record inflation.
