Roscosmos astronauts and members of the ISS-66 expedition Anton Shkaplerov and Pyotr Dubrov wished earthlings a Happy New Year from space on Friday.
Commander Anton Shkaplerov wished to experience the magic of New Year's Eve and to said kind words to those who are waiting for them.
Flight engineer Dubrov told how the New Year is celebrated at the station and wished happiness to Russians and the whole world.
"We wish the new 2022 year brought health resilience, prosperity and new achievements. Be friendly and happy. Happy new year!", summed up the flight engineer.
The ISS-66 mission will last 162 days and terminate on March 28, 2022.
The end of the expedition will coincide with the completion of the one-year flight to the ISS of flight engineers Petr Dubrov (Russia) and Mark Vande Hay (USA). Their flight will be the longest since the ISS began operation.
