Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic denounced double standards on Wednesday, speaking at the UN General Assembly .

"Serbia supports the territorial integrity of all UN member states, including, of course, territorial integrity of Ukraine", stressed Aleksandar Vucic, asking the audience why, at the same time, Serbia’s territorial integrity has been continuously ignored.

"We ask for a clear answer to the question I've been asking my interlocutors, leaders of many countries for years - what is the difference between the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia, which was grossly violated, and for which you provided international recognition and legitimacy, at least some of you? Nobody has ever provided a rational answer to that question," Vucic said referring to the 1999 NATO bombing of Yugoslavia and the recognition of Kosovo.

Kosovo declared independence in 2008 with Western support. While the US and most of its allies have recognised it, many other countries, including Russia and China, have not.

Last week, Serbian President refused to accept Pristina-issued documents proposed by EU special envoy Miroslav Lajcak and his French and German advisors as a road map to resolve the conflict.
