Pubs outside Euston and Kings Cross in central London were abuzz with England fans who had travelled far and wide for Wednesday evening's crunch semi-final against Denmark.

Most fans were confident of an England win with all eyes on the final at Wembley this coming Sunday against Italy, who defeated Spain in a penalty shootout on Tuesday night.

England have been here before however, with overconfidence a key factor in their World Cup semi-final defeat to Croatia in 2018.

"No one's ever been scared of a Danish person," said one England fan, before his friend reminded him of Vikings.

England have swept aside all but Scotland without conceding a single goal en route to the semi-final, while Denmark have been spurred to their victories by the horrifying cardiac arrest of their star player Christian Eriksen in their opening fixture against Finland.
