The deputy leader of Hungary’s opposition Momentum Movement Anna Donath cast her ballot in the European Union parliamentary elections in Budapest on Sunday. She arrived at the polling station with her parents.
Momentum opposes anti-EU rhetoric and many of the policies of Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The 32-year-old Donath has been campaigning across the country in the weeks leading up to the election.
The Momentum movement had failed to get any seats in Hungary’s parliament in last year’s election so Donath and her supporters are hoping to make their voices heard in this vote.
