Description

New footage released on Sunday shows former Minneapolis officer Tou Thao ignoring cries for help from bystanders, as George Floyd was pinned down by former officer Derek Chauvin minutes before his death.

Images show bystanders protesting and desperately begging Thao to intervene and save the life of the 46-year old African American man as he gasped for air.

The new video, showing a wider angle compared to the one which sparked outrage across the world last month, was released by the Floyd family's lawyer Ben Crump.

Following the release, Crump called for all four officers who took part in the action to be convicted of murder.
