Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi discussed a variety of topics including the Vienna nuclear talks, as well as US and international sanctions on the country, during an interview marking his 100th day in office, in Tehran, on Sunday.

“The issue of lifting sanctions will be pursued strongly, as will the issue of neutralising the sanctions. That is, in no way will we relate our economy, and the 1401 (2022) budget, to these issues," he said.

The president also discussed the ongoing nuclear talks in Vienna, which resumed on November 29 after a five-month break.

"They thought we would not take part in the negotiations, they thought we had nothing to say, they thought we would no initiative," he said. "Thank God, today, it was proved to the whole world that Iran participated [in the talks] with authority and dignity, and presented two texts, on the nuclear issue and on sanctions, in full accordance with what is in the JCPOA."
