Volunteers were seen clearing roads and carrying damaged furniture out of flooded houses.
One of the volunteers, Saud Ahmed, explained that they have been on-site for the last three to four days.
"Today we have also been to some places and met the residents there and even found out that we were the first to come to help them at all. And, as I said, they were very pleased that there are still people in the area who want to help and who have a migration background. They mentioned that very clearly and made it clear that they were very pleased by that," he said.
Over 180 people died in the flooding in western Germany and Belgium. At least 143 died in Germany, where the floods are the country's worst natural disaster in over half a century.
