Description

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki welcomed German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the latter's first visit to Warsaw after assuming office, Sunday.

The two discussed the migrant crisis at the Polish-Belarusian border, as well as the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

"We are convinced that Nord Stream 2 will increase the Kremlin's possibilities of putting pressure on Ukraine and the European Union," said Morawiecki.

He added that "the best solution would be to prevent the opening of Nord Stream 2."
