Description

Hundreds of climate protesters marched through the streets of Brussels on Sunday, demanding immediate action regarding climate change from world leaders, who prepared to meet at the COP26 summit.

"The thing that people here can do is let their voices be heard but it is the politicians that need to take the action," said one of the activists.

Protesters from organisations such as Rise for Climate, Extinction Rebellion, and RedFox joined the march, which began at the central station and concluded in front of the European Parliament on Luxembourg square.

The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference runs between Oct 31 and Nov 12. Both Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin are not attending the conference live.
