Description

Climate activists staged a hunger strike outside the White House in Washington DC on Wednesday to push for a concrete climate change plan from the Biden administration.

"We are only drinking water until Biden and the Democratic Party passes the full Build Back Better act with all of the climate legislation in it as it was proposed a month ago," explained Ema Govea, one of the protesters on hunger strike.

During the protester, the group sat silently and held signs explaining the motives behind the strike such as "Hunger striking for my dreams" or "Hunger striking for a good job".

On Friday, the group are expected to be joined by school students from Washington DC and Virginia for a sit-in protest.
